JACOB WATKINSON
Jacob Watkinson is an experimental filmmaker and cine specialist working in Rijeka, Croatia. He has a First Class Honours in Contemporary Media Practice from the University of Westminster where he received two Student Excellence Awards.
Jacobs film work delves into the experimental, collaborating with decay in analogue media to unite structuralism and narrative filmmaking. His films focus on memory, dreams, and entropy; exploring their thematic links with the fragile material of celluloid in its state of flux. His films have been screened at various film festivals across the globe.
Alongside his work as an artist, Jacob is Director of Film for a media preservation company, in which he specialises in the handling and restoration of cine film of all formats.
